The 2026 camp registration will go live on February 1, 2026.

The Iowa Summer Music Camps utilizes an online registration form and credit card payment system. Please note that payment is due at the time the online registration form is submitted. The student is not considered registered for camp until payment is made.

IMPORTANT: Campers who wish to stay on campus as a resident camper should contact Chelsea Majkut, Administrative Associate for the Iowa Summer Music Camps, at chelsea-majkut@uiowa.edu to request a link to the Resident Camper Registration Form. Housing is limited and rooms will be assigned on a "first come,  first served" basis. Once all available rooms have been assigned, no additional resident campers can be accepted.

IMPORTANT: SAXOPHONE STUDENTS should not use this application form. Contact Dr. Kenneth Tse (kenneth-tse@uiowa.edu) directly for information. Dr. Tse will provide the link to the saxophone camp registration form for saxophone campers.

IMPORTANT: FLUTE STUDENTS should not use this application form. Contact Professor Nicole Esposito (nicole-esposito@uiowa.edu) directly for information. Professor Esposito will provide the link to the flute camp registration form for flute campers.
 

COST 

Commuter Camper: Tuition alone = $375.00 (Meals not included)
Resident Camper Option 1: Housing (Double Occupancy)+Meals+Tuition = $685.00
Resident Camper Option 2: Housing (Single Occupancy)+Meals+Tuition = $750.00  

Resident campers will be housed in Catlett Hall, which is an air conditioned residence hall, and a short walk to the Voxman Music Building.

Housing is limited and will be assigned on a "first come, first served" basis. Housing requests will be honored to the extent possible based on room availability, but a student who requests a single occupant room may be assigned to a double occupant room if that is the only remaining room option. If that occurs, the parent/guardian will be contacted for permission to make the assignment and the difference in the cost of housing ($75.00) will be refunded.

Resident Campers: Friday, May 22, 2026. Please contact Chelsea Majkut (chelsea-majkut@uiowa.edu) if you are interested in registering as a resident camper. 

Commuter Campers: Friday, June 5, 2026 for WEEK ONE camps and Friday, June 12, 2026 for WEEK TWO camps.
 

IOWA SUMMER MUSIC CAMPS SCHOLARSHIP

Donor Intent: The Brian Cretzmeyer Trust for Young Musicians provides financial assistance to underprivileged, deserving students who demonstrate financial need in order to attend the Iowa Summer Music Camps. These funds could be applied to cover tuition, fees, and housing costs.

Requirements: Must be accepted into the Iowa Summer Music Camps to receive support and demonstrate financial need to attend the ISMC.

Value: The amount of each award is variable, and based on need and availability of funds. Funding resources are limited so applying for a scholarship does not guarantee an award.

Application Deadline: By no later than 5:00PM on Friday, April 25, email a scan of the completed application to Chelsea Majkut at chelsea-majkut@uiowa.edu. Recipients of awards will be notified by Friday, May 9.
